So I’m sitting in a screen room with my buddy down in Florida, having decided to stay here for another week after the Practical Profits event.

My affiliate program will include this forum, I have my php programmer implementing nanacast into the forum as I type this. When a customer signs up for profit hackers, you are paid 50% of their monthly fee, as well as a percentage of not only sales on my products, but on sales of the outside products I list on the forum. One referral can pay you $100′s of dollars a month.

And, this program will be two tiered as soon as nanacast releases this feature.

So what did I think of practical profits?

Let me tell you what I got out of it:

Sleep deprivation – I was up till 4 am every night masterminding and brain storming with other marketers and programmers which led to more product ideas than I can handle.

Too many emails – I can say I’ve made some good friends at the event, most of which will co-releasing products with me and doing joint promotions in the coming months.

A kick in the ass – Finding out just how much I could (should) be selling my products for.

Inspiration in business – Great ideas in promoting some of my products, in fact there is one thing that James Jones said that I think was worth the entire 3 day trip. Now he didn’t tell anybody this trick in his seminar as far as I know, but at the bar after a few drinks!

Inspiration in the nerd sense – After speaking to one of the attendees, I came to realize just how easy embedded programming and engineering is. For those that don’t speak nerd imagine this:

I order a bunch of chips and LCD screens from china to build and program my own electronic devices from mobile hotspots, to signs, phones, gps trackers, programmable garbage cans, toys, etc. As marketers I’m sure you can think of a million product ideas in every industry if you only had the technical knowledge to implement it.

Oh yea, there is an entire section of the forum dedicated to this stuff and getting your ‘physical electronic’ product ideas heard and built. And trust me when I say, there is no one in internet marketing that is doing it. I wouldn’t even know where to outsource this.

So what value could I put on the practical profits event? Well from the JV partners, product ideas, advice, my eyes being opened to the world of embedded programming, getting the idea for this very forum, and not to mention the fun I had…

I probably would have paid 20x what it actually cost me to go.

FYI I didn’t even attend the seminars, this is the value I got just meeting people.
